I have two things for this Saturday, AND, I'm actually doing it on Saturday. YAY! Go ME!
First thing I have are some interesting friends I met on in my yard. Here, take a look. I'm kind of bummed that they're eating my passion flower vine, but I thought they were pretty cool.
The last thing is what I purchased for my step sister for her birthday and my step dad for father's day. Just take a stab at where I got them... ;) The far left is for my stepdad and it will say Kyle 6-20-10, the middle is my step sisters, it will say Zoe 5-27-10, and I got them each a small tin to hold them in. I thought they were pretty cool. Especially since they are both avid guitar players. The picks might not actually be usable, but they're pretty and they were fairly inexpensive.

Picture Perfect Saturday
I guess my picture this week can be of the dinner I made last night... Jumbo stuffed shells from Real Simple. It was actually pretty easy. It took a little longer than I was expecting because the shells are so big and thick that they took a while to cook. I found that it was much easier to pipe the stuffing into each one rather than trying to spoon it into the shell. All I did was put the stuffing into a gallon-sized plastic bag then took off a little of the tip, and ta-da, piping bag!
Anyway, I recommend the recipe. I know we'll be using it again. Although I think I'll up the savory factor on the cheese. Next time I'll add some garlic, maybe some finely minced onion or shallot, and probably some basil as well. Even though it was good I felt it needed *a little* more flavor.
*The picture is from Real Simple's website, not the actual dish that I made.

Picture Perfect Saturday
More etsy and current things I covet. :)
ByHannahDesigns I'll definitely be ordering one of these once Sofia is born!
kmthomasdesigns, I'm going to be needing some more announcements. I have the ones that I handmade (reminder: finish those asap), but those are going out to immediate family since I only have about 18. I thought these were cute AND they have a dandelion on them. I might see if the designer could change the pink to purple.

Picture Perfect Saturday
Just some pictures to round out the nursery. I think we've finally got all the big stuff in place. I still need a few small items here and there, but they're things that are easily accessible.
Left to right (top to bottom): Stroller (love it! so light and cute), toy box, mobile and crib, clothes galore, Lammy playmat, and changing pad.

Picture Perfect Saturday
Yay, I finally bought and hung our picture collage!!! We've been in this house for almost two years and I've been wanting to do one of these for a long time, I just never got around to it. Biggest set back was finding frames that "matched" and that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I once saw a "boxed" collage at Target that had all the frames and layouts combined, but I didn't buy it at the time because I didn't have money. I kicked myself for the longest time, because I NEVER found it again.
For this one, I bought all the frames and "E" at Kohls. Which are half price at the moment! The mirror I found on clearance at Marshalls. Last two steps will be to fill the frames with pictures and find something for the empty space under the E... Yay, go me!

Picture Perfect Saturday (Sunday)
I'm inching closer and closer to 32 weeks, that puts me 8 weeks away from my due date, AH! Which means that I've got to start thinking more about the trip to the hospital. We still have to sign up for birthing classes, go tour the hospital, pre-register, and I need to pack my and Sofia's hospital bag, eek! Oh, and I don't even have the infant seat yet... About the only thing I have done (go figure) is chose a going home outfit. That outfit is my picture perfect Saturday. :)
Of course my puppy had to get in the picture action as well.

Picture Perfect Saturday
Wednesday the hubs and I took advantage of a beautiful day and took the pup out to see Lake Pflugerville. We hadn't been out there before so we thought it was a good day to check it out. It was a little chilly and very windy, but we made the most of our picnic lunch and a little sun time. I only got two pictures due to the wind, but here they are.
Bandit loved the ducks, although I couldn't get a good one of his expression.

And just for fun, here are a few of Bandit "trying on" a few of Sofia's shower gifts :)

Picture Perfect Saturday
So I guess I'm not so good at scheduling posts... This past Saturday was my first baby shower, yay! It was a lot of fun, even without the games! ;) My best friend came in from Colorado on Friday afternoon and my mom came over and helped us prepare food and set up. She did a great job and it was perfect. I got so many fabulous gifts and it was great to be surrounded by my favorite people. Here are some pictures...

Picture Perfect Saturday
I know, I know. I have the pictures, I'm just horrible about getting them on to my computer and subsequently making a post. So, 6 days late... here's last Saturday's Picture Perfect Saturday post.
My Nephews baptism. This bracelet was a gift from his great Aunt and Uncle. I thought it was cute how he was constantly playing with it on hs way to the church.

The proud parents with the Godparents.

The cold, cold water.

All done!

All right,
here's my newest update, plus a product review, and a late Picture Perfect Saturday thrown in there for good measure too. And it's already a new Saturday, guess it'll be a two post day.
I've been working diligently to get this nursery completed. At this point, all I really have left is to get the crib, which the MIL is suppose to buying very soon. We had a 20% any one item and I told the husband to coax her into getting it ASAP so that she could use the coupon. It expires on the 20th so I really hope that she gets it done. :/ Anywho, my dad and brother helped move my old chest of drawers and mirror to my house and also to install the closet system (which is fabu, by the way) this past weekend. Here are some (lots) pictures.

I have two product reviews. First is the closet system seen above. It's great!! It was easy to install (with the help of my dad) and it works really well. I might even buy another one at some point for the second guest closet. The second review is for the "diaper" bag a purchased from etsy, seen in this post. Obviously I haven't actually had a chance to use it, but it came in and is very roomy and well made. I'm excited to fill it up and start using it.

Picture Perfect Saturday
I know all of my pictures have been of nursery/baby things, but sadly it is what I spend most of my free time doing. And I know I haven't been blogging other than on Saturdays, but since not many people read it and I don't have much else happening, it just works out like that.
Today the husband and I went over to Wal-mart and picked up our closet organization system that I mentioned in this post. While I was at at the Wally world we picked out a color for the wall hangings and a little bit of ribbon to hang it. Here's the finished product of the spray paint...
And here it is hanging, evening though the color is a little off. I would hang all three of them, but I'm not sure where the dresser is going to be placed and I don't want to have to put a bunch of holes in the wall.

Oh... and I the Girl Scouts outside of the Wal-mart forced me to buy 5 boxes of cookies. :/ It's all their fault!
