Move, moving, moved

I have officially spent my first week in the new house! I moved one week ago today, and let me tell you, it was interesting. LONG story short, do NOT use ATX Moving Systems. They came as a recommendation from a co-worker who had used them on two separate occasions. Oh. My. God. Bad. Let's just leave it at that. Even though the experience was interesting it all went fairly smoothly and they didn't break anything. Thank goodness cause I would have slapped a bitch (well, dick in this case :D ).

Both the pup and I have settled in pretty well and I have already spent WAY too much money in "accessories". HAHA, go figure. I will most definitely post pictures in the near future, but I'm waiting on a couple things. First, I need my microwave to be installed, which happens tomorrow morning. I also need to unpack the office. Unfortunately, this cannot happen until I get two desks for FI and my stuff. So, until that is all done (should be within a week or two) I probably won't have many, if any, pictures. But once I do, you will not be hard pressed to find them! :)

The whole thing feels very surreal. I walk around making my bed, picking up the place, and I just feel like I'm house sitting for someone. It just doesn't seem like I've really done it. Sometimes I worry that I won't be able to make the payments, but I think with the help of Fiance I really don't have anything to worry about. I love owning my own home though. It's so rewarding. I actually had a lady at the energy company tell me that I was "very accomplished" for my age! That made me feel really good about myself. Thanks to my mom (and myself) I've really tried to make smart decisions and be wise with my money. Now, don't get me wrong, I definitely spend money on myself. I would go crazy if I didn't. But I do try and save at least 200 bucks a month to a money market savings account and then another 200 for the wedding. I'm hoping that once the wedding is over I can put all 400 into a money market. This way I have savings for a family, pet/car/health emergencies, or just upgrades to the house.

On another note, I took Bandit back to the vet on Monday for an annual, rabies shot, heartworm test, nail trim, and a check on this bump he had on the outside of his stitch. Well, it turned out that from the time I had made the appointment to the time I arrived the bump had "burst" and become infected. So he is currently on antibiotics, and let me tell you... boy does he love those (that would be dripping with sarcasm).

Well, despite the antibiotics, I started noticing that he had swelling underneath the skin that has gotten bigger SINCE starting antibiotics. So we made another trip out the vet this morning and they told me to get in to see the specialist that did his leg surgery. I had already set up an appointment for next Thursday which is their earliest available. My vet told me that he really needed to get in ASAP and that I needed to ask them to alert me if there are any cancellations. Great! I called today and left a message stating that and I'm hoping that they might be able to squeeze me in since it seems fairly urgent. Unfortunately I won't know until Monday because the specialist's office is not open on the weekend. :( I'm not too worried about the whole thing because it really doesn't seem to be bothering Bandit at all, he's completely normal. The only thing I'm worried about is the cost...
