Accountability

So, I'm thinking that I might start using this blog as a weight loss accountability strategy.  I probably won't really start it until July, since that is when I *should* be getting the OK from my doctor to start exercising... I'm still in my 6-week-PP-no-hard-physical-activity phase.

As soon as I get the OK I'll be working on walking more frequently, doing Jillian Michaels' 30-day shred, and eating better.  Currently, I'm trying to eat better and trying to walk as much as I can.  The walking thing is harder than I thought.  I can only take baby S out before 10 am or after 7pm, but before 830, mostly because of the heat.  It's hard in the morning because sometimes I just want to sleep.  Yet, the evening is tough as well because she is typically asleep and would be waking during the 7-830 time to eat.  It's my belief that you "never wake a sleeping baby".  I could wait until she wakes in the evening, but then I would miss out on sleep (which I desperately need) and it would be too dark to walk alone in my neighborhood.

I might just start logging my food intake and any exercise I might get if/when I walk.  Maybe this will help me to lose the weight... :/

In the mean time have you considered water aerobics? It is super low impact. The hubs and I just checked out our local YMCA and they have free childcare (during workout) all the way down to newborn. The water classes are free with a facility membership.

HA! Me... get into a swimsuit?? HA! I SO would if I could find the nerve to even go LOOK at swimsuits. But, I would be *that* person in a t-shirt over my swimsuit. ::shutter::

I might look into though. I thought about doing that a long while ago. I have knee problems which keep me from jogging/running too much and the water jogging would be great for that.

Mine also has pilates/yoga classes once you are doctor approved. I would think too much stretching wouldnt be good until Dr says so. Plus: No swimsuits required. They have free guest passes online if you want to try before you buy on the water class. Mine also has tones of pre and post-natal classses. Even baby and me classes. I am sure you will see similar shapes in those classes.
