Even though I originally wanted a black and white damask pattern, the husband nixed that pretty quick. He doesn't want black in the room, at all... newsflash, you might have won the bedding fight, but there WILL be black in this room. You can deal.
Well I guess I compromised on the no black bedding, but I decided that I would then chose the set I liked better. He liked this one. Which is cute, but just not what I had "envisioned". Plus, it comes with so much stuff that we wouldn't ever use. The bedding I purchased came in separates so I ordered just the sheet, dust ruffle, and changing pad cover. You might ask why I didn't purchase the bumper or comforter as well. Well they are both considered fairly dangerous for young babies. Comforters are too plush and a baby can get his/her face stuck in it and be unable to breath. The bumpers pose the same issues as well as being a hazard when the child is old enough to stand. They usually try to stand on the bumper and can injure themselves trying to climb out of the crib. So, I decided against both, but will be buying a breathable bumper in white.
